Delivering apprenticeships in Wales
Apprenticeships are an excellent opportunity for your students to gain practical, on-the-job experience. The best way for people to learn new, improved, and industry-relevant skills is through marketing apprenticeships.
Overview
Employers use apprenticeship programmes to develop and improve their present personnel as well as to recruit new employees, making an apprenticeship a realistic career path and an excellent alternative to education.
In Wales, government assistance is available to assist with funding. Offering apprenticeships is another excellent method to support and upskill members of your local community. The Welsh Government funds approved training providers to deliver apprenticeship frameworks and administer the apprentices' training and assessment programme, with the employer providing the majority of the training.
Apprenticeship frameworks
In Wales, an apprentice will follow an approved Welsh Apprenticeship Framework. They make sure an apprentice has the necessary education, training, and experience.
In collaboration with training organisations and employers, the marketing framework was created. It's a methodical strategy to educate and train aspiring marketers and marketing professionals who are aware of the demands of their organisation, their target audience, and the industry in which they work.
Three levels of marketing apprenticeships are available: Foundation Apprenticeship (Level 2), Apprenticeship (Level 3), and Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4).
Apprenticeship frameworks include:
- an occupational competency qualification that evaluates the abilities needed to perform the job.
- a technical knowledge qualification that measures the theory and information needed for the job position.
- a certification from Essential Skills Wales that covers digital literacy, communication, and numeracy.
- training both on and off the job.
Welsh apprenticeship qualifications are governed by Qualifications Wales.
Apprenticeship Certification Wales (ACW) is the authority in charge of providing apprenticeship completion certificates.

Qualification
Foundation apprenticeship (Level 2)
Ideal for completing the graduation or those aspiring to or currently working in roles including Digital Marketing Assistant, Digital Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing Coordinator, Campaign Executive, Social Media Executive, Content Coordinator, Email Marketing Assistant, SEO Executive, Analytics Executive, Digital Marketing Technologist.
Apprenticeship (Level 3)
Suited to those aspiring to or currently working in roles including Digital Marketing Assistant, Digital Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing Coordinator, Campaign Executive, Social Media Executive, Content Coordinator, Email Marketing Assistant, SEO Executive, Analytics Executive, Digital Marketing Technologist.
Higher level apprenticeship (Level 4)
This qualification will enable individuals to become Digital Marketing Assistant, Digital Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing Coordinator, Campaign Executive, Social Media Executive, Content Coordinator, Email Marketing Assistant, SEO Executive, Analytics Executive, Digital Marketing Technologist.It's an excellent progression platform for qualifications or higher apprenticeships.
