Delivering apprenticeships in
England

Apprenticeships are an excellent opportunity for your students to gain hands-on experience and learn marketing strategies. Marketing apprenticeships are an excellent way for people to learn new, improved, and industry-relevant skills.

On-programme learning

On-the-job training is the part of the apprenticeship that teaches the apprentice the necessary information, skills, and behaviours. The programme must last at least one year and must prepare the apprentice for the End Point Assessment (EPA). .More firms are adopting apprenticeships to improve and strengthen their existing personnel or to recruit new employees, indicating that an apprenticeship is a realistic career route and a wonderful alternative to university. Apprenticeships are also an excellent method to support and upskill people in your community. In England, the apprenticeship levy and government assistance are all in place to assist with funding.

The Level 3 Diploma in Marketing and Level 4 Diploma in Professional Marketing from Alphaskill are the ideal solutions for some of the knowledge and skill requirements, even though there is no necessity for qualifications inside the Level 3 and Level 4 apprenticeships. The qualification clearly defines progression milestones for apprentices based on unit assessments. We are also an End Point Assessment Organization (EPAO) for the Level 2 Marketing Assistant apprenticeship, which calls for the Level 2 Certificate in Marketing degree. The on-programme learning behaviour and skills elements will be developed through workplace learning and will reinforce the knowledge elements earned through the Alphaskill marketing qualification courses.

As the apprentice approaches the conclusion of the on-programme learning, you would need to collaborate with the employer to certify that the apprentice is prepared to pass through the gateway. The gateway is the stage where an employer, along with the training provider, determines if the apprentice has acquired the abilities, information, and behaviours necessary to pass the EPA. The training provider can schedule each of the EPA's distinct parts once the employer has given their approval.

Apprenticeship Funding for training providers

Apprenticeship funding

In England, training providers no longer receive direct funding for apprenticeship programmes. As an alternative, employers choose the partners they want to work with to conduct apprenticeships and then pay those partners in accordance with an online apprenticeship service. Then, training providers receive their monthly allotted compensation.

The amount that a company contributes to the financing pot is determined by their yearly pay bill. This contribution is known as the apprenticeship levy.

End Point Assessment (EPA) fees

When training providers register a student for an End Point Assessment (EPA) with us, the EPA Centre will charge a non-refundable administrative fee per apprentice upon registration, followed by the balance of the remaining EPA fee when apprentices take the first EPA component. The remaining EPA charge will cover one attempt at each EPA component. Retakes will be paid separately if necessary.

According to the levels of apprenticeship described here, different fees apply for the EPAs.

Fee for Level 2: Marketing assistant apprenticeship Level 3: Assistant marketing apprenticeship Level 4: Professional marketing apprenticeship

Be an Independent Assessor for apprenticeships

Alphaskill is an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO), which allows us to provide End Point Assessments (EPAs) for the Marketing Assistant (Level 2), Assistant Marketing (Level 3), and Professional Marketing (Level 4) apprenticeships.

We are now hiring a group of Independent Assessors (IAs) to evaluate the portfolio and reflective elements of EPAs. So, if you are a Digital Marketing who is interested in working in this fascinating new field, please get in touch with us.

Please read the information below and, if you meet the requirements for experience, talents, and commitment, email it to alphaskillsedu@gmail.com along with your most recent resume.

Record assessment decisions, produce reports, and keep assessment records accurately and in accordance with Alphaskill criteria.

Attend initial and continuous training sessions (at least once a year), and keep one's knowledge and abilities current through continuing professional development.

When performing EPAs for Alpahskill, always maintain a professional and pleasant approach.

Qualifications, skills and experience

The following IAs are required for the Level 3 Assistant Marketing apprenticeship:

  • An marketing degree of at least Level 3
  • Marketing proficiency as a profession (preferably within the last five years)
  • Assessment expertise in a teaching, training, or mentoring capacity
  • The A1 Assessor Award or the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related achievement, or be in the process of obtaining one of these awards
  • A valid driving permit for the UK.

For the Professional marketing apprenticeship (Level 4), IAs must have:

  • A Level 5 or higher certification in Marketing
  • Marketing professionals have experience and work with communication and sales strategies to craft excellent ad campaigns and marketing strategies on a case-by-case basis.
  • Specific knowledge and experience in the profession so that the apprentice's competency may be successfully determined
  • Recent experience (within the previous five years) in professional marketing
  • A Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement or the A1 Assessor Award, or have experience in assessment in an educational, training, or mentoring capacity*, or be working toward one of these
  • A valid driving permit for the UK.

*These requirements aren't necessary for everyone hired to carry out EPAs for the Professional Marketing Apprenticeship (Level 4). However, the assessment plan requires it.

Alphaskill is also interested in ensuring that as many IAs as feasible have assessment experience and/or assessment certifications. As a result, we are especially interested in hearing from those who match these specific qualifications for the Level 4 Apprenticeship.

Time Commitment

It is difficult to offer an adequate assessment of time obligations until we know the exact number of apprentices who will require EPAs. However, we are requesting IAs to commit to a minimum of 20 days annually, if possible, which will include attendance at standardisation events.

The majority of the work will be done online, which should make it simpler for IAs to fit their assessment work around other commitments, even if certain assessments will need to be completed on the employer's or training provider's facilities. Additionally, we're making appointments on a regional basis, which should reduce needless travel time when conducting on-site evaluations.

Applying

When we receive your application, we'll determine whether you have the skills and expertise we're looking for and set up a phone interview. If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to a half-day selection workshop to further analyse your suitability. If we decide to hire you, we'll provide you with a contract and ask you to come to a full-day induction and training workshop before you perform any assessment work.

If you are interested in this position and believe you have the necessary abilities, experience, and commitment, please send an email to alphaskillsedu@gmail.com along with your current CV.
